BIO

Dr. Nicole LeBlanc earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Wisconsin in 2010. Following a one-year rotating internship at North Carolina State University, she completed a three-year cardiology residency at Oregon State University, where she received extensive training in interventional and medical cardiology. Dr. LeBlanc completed her residency and became board-certified in 2014.

From 2015 to 2021, Dr. LeBlanc served as a tenure-track faculty member at Oregon State University, where she was promoted to tenured professor. During her professorship, she focused her research on interventional cardiac procedures for acquired and congenital heart disease, as well as advanced echocardiography.

After her tenure at Oregon State University, Dr. LeBlanc contributed to developing the interventional cardiology service at a multi-specialty private referral practice. She then moved to Bellingham in 2022 and founded North Sound Veterinary Cardiology in 2023.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. LeBlanc loves the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. She enjoys gardening, biking, hiking, skiing, and trail running, especially when accompanied by friends.
