Dr. Shields is a Pacific North West native. She graduated from Washington State University in 2016 with a focus on small animals. She did two rounds of surgical internship before settling into emergency with Boundary Bay Veterinary Specialty Hospital in 2019. When she’s not working you can find her being creative with cross stitch, knitting, running half marathons, and spending time with her family–including her four senior dogs at home.
